Janesville Town Council, Inc.

A nonprofit public benefit corporation

 

Purpose: The mission of the Janesville Town Council is to act as an advisory committee to the Lassen County Supervisors to promote the Janesville Community Action Plan plus any other issues that may be of concern to the community.

 

Membership: Membership is open to any individual member of the community who has attended at least two complete meetings of the council and has requested membership in the council, or to any one representative of any recognized community group.

 

On-Going Concerns of the Council (as per Community Action Plan of Sept. 1999):

 

  • Fire safety of the community
  • Development of the Janesville Park
  • Main Street Project including hiking-biking trail
  • Activities for youth and assistance to senior citizens
  • Continued excellence of Janesville School
  • Improving the general climate of life in this community (Controlled Growth)
  • Law Enforcement & Animal Control
  • Water Quality
  • Road Maintenance
